Identity
“Be the first, be unique, be different”. This philosophy has enabled Hublot to gain a remarkable reputation for excellence in the space of just a few decades in the fiercely competitive high-quality timepiece market. This focus is perfectly embodied in the art of fusion that Hublot has constantly advanced since 1980, when it designed its first watch combining natural rubber and gold. In 2004, the brand made this art of fusion the cornerstone of a founding spirit, expressed in infinite variations with a blend of traditional watchmaking savoir-faire, cutting-edge technologies and unexpected materials. In 2005, the Big Bang collection, a chronograph with an elegant, contemporary design, enjoyed resounding international success. In its 14,000-square-meter Manufacture on Lake Geneva in Switzerland, Hublot is constantly pushing the boundaries of horological innovation.

Insight
Innovation
After several years of research, Hublot has created an actual “fusion” between pure gold and boron carbide (ceramic): an 18-carat gold alloy which is superior to traditional alloys in terms of hardness and resistance to scratches, while retaining the properties of ceramic and gold. During the polishing phase, the untreated alloy loses its blackish color and takes on a unique gold shade, which explains its “Magic Gold” name. Exclusively produced in the Hublot Manufacture’s foundry, Magic Gold heralds a new era for precious metal alloys. In 2018, the Research & Development department succeeded in producing a particularly coveted material, namely brightly colored ceramics and, in this case, bright red ceramics. Outlook
The Hublot Manufacture in Nyon on the shores of Lake Genevais an ultra-high performance, high-tech production facility dedicated to manufacturing Hublot watches and various inhouse movements such as the famous Unico chronograph, the Meca-10 with its 10-day power reserve, tourbillons, minute repeaters and the MP-05 La Ferrari, which has broken the world record with 50 days of power reserve. With its integrated foundry, Hublot also allocated significant R&D resources to the development of new materials such as Magic Gold – the first scratch-proof 18k gold – carbon fiber, sapphire and bright colored ceramics. Hublot’s network of boutiques and authorized retailers has expanded rapidly in step with the brand’s success and currently totals over 90 boutiques in prestigious locations.
