Identity

Château Galoupet is a Cru Classé de Provence composed of 77 hectares of protected woodland and 69 hectares of vineyard, certified organic since May 2023.

The estate was acquired by LVMH in 2019 with a vision to craft elevated expressions of an exceptional terroir with utmost respect for the environment from ground to glass.

Convinced that biodiversity is integral to crafting excellent terroir-driven wines, Château Galoupet has partnered with local wildlife associations to advance biodiversity across the estate and adapt its agroforestry and plot-by-plot management approach to suit the natural balance of the vine in its ecosystem. Home to one of just 12 queen bee fertilization stations in the world, the aim is to express the full potential of the terroir in a sanctuary for biodiversity while being a lighthouse for sustainability within LVMH, and for organic and environmental practices in the wine industry.

Château Galoupet revealed it first two vintages in organic conversion in 2022 and 2023: Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé, a complex, full-bodied terroir wine with a fine mineral finish and notable ageing potential.

“The 2022 vintage is a rare expression of a multi-faceted terroir and masterful precision in the winery: a Rosé de Provence crafted with meticulous care that clearly reveals the new direction of the Château Galoupet Cru Classé wine signature. This new addition to the Maison’s portfolio allows for an enlightening vertical tasting with Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé 2021, which is now presenting evolutive notes recognised by wine experts. It is fascinating to see how our wines are evolving.”

A unique ecosystem

Nature thrives in the Château Galoupet ecosystem, between the vines and the protected woodland, and plays a vital role in the vineyard.

The diverse flora and fauna that surrounds the plots acts as a buffer which protect the vines by absorbing the effects of the changing environment, including strong heat and wind – and the insects deter pests, which means chemicals and additional human intervention can be avoided.

Château Galoupet respects sustainable practices including agro-forestry and cover cropping to protect soil life and support the regeneration of nature.
