With the “PRIDE – Walk the Talk” event on Tuesday 30 May at LVMH headquarters, closing with a showcase by Juliette Armanet, singer-songwriter, the Group celebrates its commitment to fighting LGBTI+ discrimination and showcases the concrete actions taken in the field by its Maisons and its international network of “All LVMH Pride” employees. It also launches, for the first time in the Group’s history, its participation in Pride Walks in several cities around the world: Paris, London, New-York, San Francisco, Wilton Manors, Los Angeles, Miami and Tokyo. This strong commitment is one of the pillars of LVMH’s global Diversity and Inclusion strategy.

During Pride Month in June every year, LVMH raises employee awareness about LGBTI+ inclusion, encouraging them to rally round its strong commitments in this area, and showcasing the community of Group employees dedicated to promoting inclusion across the world.

During the “PRIDE – Walk the Talk” event on May 30th, 2023, LVMH shines a spotlight on the daily efforts of its teams to foster diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Organized by the Group Human Resources Department, Chantal Gaemperle, EVP, Human Resources & Synergies, and Vanessa Moungar, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, are joined by several high-profile personalities from both within and outside of LVMH, who share their insights and experience on this topic:

  • Partnership between Le Refuge Foundation and LVMH

Following on from its first successful collaboration with the association, the Group was proud to announce, on the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia on 17 May, that it would be stepping up its actions with Le Refuge from September 2023, to promote the reintegration, training and employment of young LGBTI+ people by supporting them in their choice of career direction through a partnership with Métiers d’Excellence LVMH.

  • “Adieu ma Honte” with Ouissem Belgacem – former professional footballer

The Group is supporting the adaptation of the autobiographical novel “Adieu ma honte” by Ouissem Belgacem, ambassador of the first Métiers d’Excellence class to include beneficiaries of Le Refuge, into a four-part documentary for Canal+ Docs, to be aired for the first time from 7 June. The event is an opportunity for the former professional footballer to present the series, which tells the story of his struggle to come to terms with his homosexuality in the world of sport.

  • Panel: “Inclusion in the workplace: what works?”

In this panel moderated by Loïc Dumoulin-Richet from Têtu, adviser to the Group on LGBTI+-related themes, LVMH brings together a number of experts in the field to discuss inclusion in the workplace, with the aim of providing practical techniques and tools to help LGBTI+ people and their allies continue to progress on the issue of inclusion. This panel welcomed Christophe Margaine,  (L’Autre Cercle, an association partnered by LVMH), , Tiphaine Galliez (Great Place to Work), Sandra Rimbot and Paula Fallowfield, Human Resources Directors at Sephora and Moët Hennessy respectively, two Maisons with a particular commitment to the cause.

  • Employees’ Pride networks within the Group

For several years, LVMH has been fostering the development of employee networks in the different regions across the world to allow each person to contribute, at their own level, to an ever more inclusive culture. These “All LVMH Pride” networks, already active in several countries – France, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan – are continuing to grow, bringing together an increasing number of employees keen to make a personal commitment on this theme. The Maisons Sephora, Moët Hennessy and Celine have also set up their own networks and carry out tangible actions with the support of the Group. Employees representing those networks took the stage to share their personal experience and their ambitions for the development of these networks.

LVMH’s engagement goes well beyond its participation in Pride Month. The Group is committed to offering an inclusive experience, where everyone that is part of its ecosystem – people, partners and clients – feel welcomed, respected and represented.

At LVMH, we are diverse par nature, inclusive by choice. And it’s everyone’s business.
